Humanitarian cooperation involves some important principles to keep in mind.
- Principle of humanity. The human suffering must be carried out regardless of the area, place of the place where it occurs.
- Principle of impartiality. Humanitarian cooperation must occur regardless of nationality, race, gender, religion or political opinion.
- Principle of operational independence. Humanitarian cooperation is independent of political, economic, military or other objectives.
- Principle of neutrality. People who provide their humanitarian collaboration cannot take sides in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.
Humanitarian aid provides food, medical care, and water to people in need.
